About Dr Nikash Ramsunder

Dr Ramsunder is currently a Nephrologist and Physician, practising at Melomed in Mitchells Plain. He is also a Senior Registrar at the Department of Internal Medicine Nephrology at Tygerberg Hospital.

Dr Ramsunder obtained his MBChB at the University of Limpopo in 2007. Next, he completed an FCP (SA) and MMED at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2021, he received a Subspecialty Certificate in Nephrology at the University of Stellenbosch.

Dr Ramsunder began his career as an intern at Dr George Mukhari Hospital in Pretoria. He completed his community service at G.J Crookes Hospital Scottburgh in KwaZulu Natal. He also served as a Medical Officer at various hospitals, where he worked in the Department of Cardiology, the Department of Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine.

As a Nephrologist, Dr Ramsunder is highly skilled in treating various diseases of the kidney. In addition, he is also very knowledgeable about how kidney disease or dysfunction can affect other parts of the body.

Dr Ramsunder is committed to providing the best possible care for all his patients. His passion lies not only in treating illnesses, but also in guiding patients through lifestyle changes that will ensure that their health and well-being are at their most optimal.
